This morning, I got up early again and walked 5 miles in 78 minutes.
I've been feeling great walking lately, and today I was feeling pretty proud of myself for keeping up with the training schedule for six whole weeks. I had an extra kick in my step until...a high school cross country team passed me. Five young, fit bodies to stare at as they literally left me in their dust. Five blond ponytails swinging at me and mocking my pride.
